Swimming lessons for Adults
Adult Swim Lessons in Cornwall.
The very first steps learning to swim as an adult are often overcoming the fear of water. This fear sometimes comes from a childhood issue that has come about from a bad experience, either from an open-air near-drowning situation or an indoor swimming pool situation from learning to swim at a swimming pool.OR as we live in Cornwall, by the sea.
Simple push and glides
A simple push a glide could be all thats required, so quite possibly the first steps are going to be to learn to push from the wall and then guide, with a float, from hearing the adult can progress to placing the face down under the water, blowing bubbles out as you do. Its also a good time to learn the simple process of learning to stand up as an Adult, the fear of not being able to stand up is high with any Adult learning to swim.
Swimming Kick as an Adult
Which kick for the Adult swimmer , thats the question , its often that Front crawl is the best kick , but sometimes an Adult swimmer maybe a natural Breast Stroke swimmer, if this is the case it would most defiantly be best to learn the Breaststroke full stroke, this stoke in a natural swimmer will come on very quickly, and they find learning the Front Crawl most defiantly not the best stroke to be taught.
Using Swimming Fins
From learning the correct stroke kick and firstly learning the push and glide as an Adult its then time to learn the full stroke, the arms and legs. If the swimmer is moving forwards with the Front Crawl stroke then using swimming training fins are going to be really useful, the swimming fins will allow the swimmer to progress quickly and with speed. The swim training fin allows much better proposition - this, in turn, takes the strain off the swimmer, also allowing a better swimming body position, and so progressing a better body development.
Using Swimming Fins to learn Breathing
Once the kicking and the swimmer begins to get more and more confident then the timing and the breathing of the stroke should follow quickly.
